Filming the Montage

Today we finished filming some of the shots that got lost on the tape. We created a Montage of college life in order to show the setting and establish what people get up to during college. We filmed both close ups, medium shots and long shots to help convey the variation of activity at college. We then have to upload the filming onto the computer and edit the shots to put into our film.

Editing

Thursday the 26th of February and Tuesday the 3rd of April we carried on editing our film. Our previous footage was lost due to a damaged tape so therefore we had to re-start the task of capturing and editing the footage of our film. We struggled to find some parts of what we had filmed and only found some in the end. In what we have edited, we have changed the lighting as some shots were a lot darker than what was needed for our genre; teenage romance. Our film is currently going well however, we still need some footage for example - the montage of college life, that we cannot find. While capturing some of our footage on tuesday we came across a problem with our tape which meant that we had troubles transferring the filming onto the computer however, we discovered that the tape had been damaged so therefore couldn't load all of the filming we needed. 

Screening Card

Today we discussed Screen Testing, the idea of screening a movie before release to gauge audiences opinions. We have created a questionnaire card, shown below, to give to viewers at our test screening on Thursday.

Rough Cut.

Today we worked finished our rough cut,  and then began a somewhat more stylized edit the results of which are shown below. What is missing is the montage section, for which we will have to wait till next week to film as we need the college area to be busy.

We also have not worked on the soundtrack yet, so currently it just plays throughout.
